From Yesterday to Tomorrow Nuri İyem 1

Evin Art Gallery enabled the registration of 2021 paintings and the issuance of certificates within the scope of the "Nuri İyem Paintings Archive/Documentation Project" organized at Tepebaşı TÜYAP between 19-27 November 2001. This project has become one of the most comprehensive artwork documentation projects organized in Turkey. As the third phase of this project, Nuri İyem's book “From Yesterday to Tomorrow Nuri İyem” was published in two volumes by Evin Art Gallery in 2002.
 
The first volume includes: Evin İyem's presentation, the texts written by Prof. Dr. Erhan Karaesmen and Soner Özdemir about the place of the great master Nuri İyem in Turkish art history, followed by İyem's views on Turkish plastic arts and examples from his works from different periods take place.

The second volume includes: a comprehensive biography of Nuri İyem, memoirs from his archive, excerpts from the texts written about İyem and the visuals of 2021 artworks which was documented/exhibited before and during “From Yesterday to Tomorrow Nuri İyem” retrospective exhibition which was opened on 29 November 2001 as the second phase of the project. In addition a collector's index on the relevant date is also included. In this respect, the second volume is an inventory book of the project.
